The Friendship Circle Of The Figurine Collective

We hope you are enjoying reading our "thought for the day" on the right. Consider it as our thank you for visiting our website. Every time that you visit, you will see a new one. Take a break and enjoy.

Our Friendship Circle is a place for collectors and anyone interested in fine bone china, to make their views count. As the artist Eric Gil said -

"The artist is not a different kind of person,
but every person is a different kind of artist."

Because we are all different, as lovers of fine bone china and figurines in particular; we are interested in what you think.

We can all share our knowledge and stories related to collecting. At The UK Figurine Collective, John, Peter and Tony will do our best to answer any questions that you have - but some times, you have more knowledge that we do on particular topics.

Here is a way for you to contribute, help other collectors and become part of our creative process.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Here are some of the questions that you have asked in the past. If you have any other questions or have something that you would like to find out about, please let us know. Contact us via our simple contact sheet or ring Tony Young on 01386 832120. Tony will be delighted to talk to you about your collection or any other figurine related matter that you like.

PaymentsCan I pay in installments?
Yes you can pay in any amounts that you like. Please email us to suggest the amounts that you would like to pay. Once we have a deposit of £67, we will hold your figurine until you have paid the balance. Your limited-edition number will be confirmed upon payment of the deposit.

Can I pay in one go?
Yes, we would be, of course, delighted if you wish to pay in one go. If we have sent you a Paypal request for the deposit, please ignore it and we will send you a new request for the full amount.

Do I have to use PayPal?
Paypal is a secure payment method for us and for you. You do not need to be a member of PayPal to use its services. When you click on our money request, you go to a page on PayPal's website where there is the option to either sign up with them (at no cost to yourself) or simply use your own debit or credit card to make the payment. Either way is secure.

What is the cost in US dollars?
We show the dollar equivalent to our prices but, of course this changes daily. By clicking on the pay now button your payment is automatically converted.

Free postage and packaging - is there a catch?
No, there is no catch. We are offering free postage and packaging to all our customers who have paid at least the deposit, until the end of April.

Made in England
Are they totally made in England?
We guarantee that everything that we produce, is made in England - even our boxes!

Can I visit your factory?
If you are ever in the Staffordshire area and would like to visit our factory, let us know and we will try to arrange a visit to see our figurines being made. We do not have regular organized tours.

Is there really bone in 'bone china'?
Yes. Bone china has at least 50% bone in it. This is what gives it its translucency.

How much is my mothers old figurine worth?
We often get asked for valuations. We cannot give a direct estimate of value but Peter Holland has his own website where you can get items valued for a small cost.

How can I sell my old figurines?
There are several ways to sell figurines bit we are now starting a buy and sell page especially for figurine collectors. You can offer items up for sale of list particular things that you have on your 'want list'. We will try to match up buyers and sellers. The listing will be free but we will ask for 10% of the sale price to cover our administration costs.

I am looking for a particular figurine, can you help?
If you list the items that you are looking for on our website, we might find someone who is willing to sell them. We are not an auction site and we will act as the 'middle-man' in the transaction - thus avoiding a last minute change in the price or situation where you miss out at the last minute.

Thank you for your inspiration, we owe a lot to you. Now, by contributing to The Friendship Circle of The Figurine Collective, you can help everyone to understand a little more about a fascinating subject. Art can be in everything we see touch and hear and in every person we talk to.
