Making China Figurines Comment

"I can't believe how lucky I was to have found your china figurines website"

Making China Figurines Comment - "I can't believe how lucky I was to have found your china figurines website":- Dear Peter & the team:- I believe that once you have a few figurines out there, people who are collectors will see how beautiful they are, both yours and John's, and will go searching the internet for them like I did. Word of mouth is the best way of advertising really and your products will sell themselves.

Also, once your name is known, people will want to find you.

What I don't understand is why the English 'names' which have been so long standing have been sold out.

A couple of years ago a friend of mine bought a Royal Doulton dinner set, never expecting for a moment that it wouldn't be made in England. When she got it home and started washing it up she realized it was made in Thailand.

She immediately took it back to the department store where she had bought it and told them that they should have pointed this out to her. It just shows that there are a lot of people who would still be buying English 'names' if they were out there. It isn't just figurines, it is all china. My generation love fine china and the only way we will ever get our children and grandchildren to appreciate it is to possess it and pass on that love.

I own 5 beautiful English Tea and Coffee sets, and I have told my grandchildren to select one in turn according to age, which one they would like to have, when I pass on. They are only children, but when they visit, they often go to the cupboard and pretend to make cups of tea for themselves. Somehow I have to try and find another one now for no 6, Eliza, as when she is old enough she will want to know where hers is.

I am sure it is sad for you guys who are in the business, to watch it going dry. I admire you for your courage in pursuing the challenge, and I do wish you luck in whatever you do.

I would never buy a china figurine, or anything with an English name made in Asia, and the ones that are, are really awful anyway.

I am so happy to be part of your 795 people who will be involved with the first of your bone china figurines, and feel so honoured that you have spent so much time and patience with my over the dilemma I had with the name. You were so diligent with your responses to my e-mails, that even though I am in a different time zone, I would wake up every morning to see what you had said the night
before.

As it has turned out, it couldn't have been better and was obviously meant to be.

I am very excited about seeing the finished product and look forward to watching your English bone china figurines company grow.

Sorry for the long tirade, but once again I want to thank you for you fantastic help and I can't believe how lucky I was to have found your website.

Kind regards

Marilyn Sharp
