Kindest regards ,

Royal bride Kate Middleton, by John Bromley
Dear Anthea, You are quite right, John has worked so hard on his royal bride figure of Kate Middleton. To sculpt it in such a short time - given the amount of lace detail and exacting portrait that was required, is absolutely marvelous. It is a sign of his great ability as a sculptor that has been developed over a long an remarkable career.

There has been equally sterling work by the rest of the team after John had finished his work - to mould and then develop the figurine prototype in such short time. We wanted to finish the first one as soon as possible - BUT - only done properly. We cut no corners in trying to produce the most excellent figure possible and I think that it shows.

You have also ordered "English Garden" by Peter Holland. This amazing figurine is moving on to the first coloured stage. We will see the first prototype fired next week and Peter and I will be there as the colour is applied before the glaze is put on. This will give an extra dimension to the sculpted leaves. After glazing, we will apply more colour to bring out the depth of the flowers. I will show photographs of all this, as usual on our webpages.

If you wanted to order any of our other figures (there aren't that many to choose from, as we are still a new and small company) You could pick from "As Lovely as You" by John - his first figurine for us and one exhibited in the world- famous Potteries Museum, in Stoke-on-Trent as an example of modern figurine making in the city -

"Rose Garden" by Peter - A beautiful full skirted figure with a parasol that was exhibited in a museum in Carlisle as part of a historic look at ceramics by Dr. Andrew Livingstone.

The final piece that you could look at is Peter's affectionate take on the traditional Staffordshire flatback with his royal portrait of William and Kate on a rocking horse. Yes a 'rocking horse - flying over Buckingham Palace! It is his fantasy piece based on the thoughts of the prince sweeping his princess off on a white charger.

You can see more of all our figures by following the links at our Figurines gallery page"

It is lovely to keep in touch with collectors such as you who are obviously enthusiastic about figurine collecting. Thanks for all your support.

Very best regards

Tony
