Tango dancers, Bone China Figurines.
I have recently bought this absolutely stunning piece of a dancing couple titled "Tango",by J Bromley,signature on the base also C.W which I know is Compton & Woodhouse (having bought other beautiful pieces from them).It has is a limited edition of 1500, but no edition number stated. It has the year M.M only.All printed in gold.

I am so curious to know did this beautiful dancing couple ever go into production.I have collected many art deco pieces over the years (Clarice Cliff)age of Jazz figures etc.but I am so thrilled with this "Tango" dancing couple.John has brilliantly captured the swing of the lady's red dress and the feet are pointed in dance,arms together out stretched absolutely perfect.

It now takes pride of place in my collection and I can honestly say it is the most beautiful piece.I can not understand,if the edition of 1500 went ahead how I have never seen another one like it.The couple stand on a lovely Art Deco colourful base.I would be obliged if you can give me any information on this wonderful figurine.

I remember this piece myself from my days as Product Development Director at Compton & Woodhouse. I have passed your comments onto John Bromley and he will write to let you know more about your 'Tango Figurine.
I am not sure why it does not have a specific limited edition number. It would be good to see a photograph off the base, to help identify it exactly.
