Very large Dresden figurine??? Help !!!

This piece has been in the family somewhere around 40 years. It belonged to my mother and now me. I've researched as much as my brain can stand and then came across your site. The mark looks to be Dresden, but there is also a makers name??? (S Matt) scribed into the under bottom as well???? The Dresden mark is not under the glaze. I'm wondering if this piece is a 1950's 1960's import piece or something better? Can you help me? Can anybody give me some information on the mark/marks? By the way the piece stands 9 1/2 inches high and depicts a sitting man shaking his finger at his dog. Completely white porcelin. No other colors. Sorry I could not figure out how to add a second photo, but would like to. Many thanks
